I decided to take Madame Jolene out for a visit to Wildcat Stadium. I had the honor of meeting Alpena’s Defensive Coordinator, Chris Kauffman, as well. He even was generous enough to give me a mini tour of some of the surrounding facilities, including the new coaches office, which was really cool! Thanks again Chris! On a side note, don’t forget to tune in on Monday for the debut edition of a new Morning Wake Up segment called, “The Local Lineup”. It’s a segment that will air on Mondays and Fridays at 6:45 a.m. where we will highlight high school sports around Northeast Michigan. Recaps of games, upcoming games, things like that (Shoutout to BKC Insurance Services for sponsoring this segment too!) Now, with most sports seasons still a few weeks away, at least, we’re gonna start off by interviewing some Athletic Directors, starting with Alpena’s AD, Ben Henry. Keep in mind, we’re gonna focus primarily on high school sports. And I will try and cover whatever sports I can, however, I’m limited to what information is made available by the team’s ADs. But Rome will eventually be built, if you will. And we’ll have some fun along the way. Have a good weekend and I will talk to you on Monday 😊 🏈 🏀 ⚾️ 🏒 ⚽️ 🏐

Those blasted Minnesotans and or Canadians are at it again.

Wildfire smoke returns today across the region, but most of it will be elevated, not affecting our air quality. You may notice a hazy look to the sky though!
