The project is the result of a collaboration between Papaian Studios, the Diocese of Orange and Othonia, Inc., a research initiative connected to the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, of the Legionaries of Christ in Rome. Othonia has already developed Shroud exhibitions in several countries, but this is its most ambitious attempt, combining scientific material, devotional art and immersive media on a scale inspired by contemporary blockbuster exhibitions like those dedicated to Van Gogh or King Tut.

Over three days, from the 9th to the 11th, communities in this eastern Nigerian state were struck by a wave of coordinated assaults that left as many as twenty Christians dead and entire neighborhoods in shock. Local reporters from Truth Nigeria were the first to piece together the scale of the violence, but eyewitness accounts have since revealed a scene far more terrifying than the initial figures suggest.

One of the most haunting testimonies came from Christiana Joseph, who woke on the morning of the attack preparing to attend the 6 a.m. Mass. She remembers the sudden roar of engines circling her compound. Moments later, bursts of gunfire filled the air. By the time silence returned, her husband of f...

When Australian bishops commissioned an unprecedented study into the everyday wellbeing of priests and deacons, few expected the results to paint such a complex portrait of a vocation marked by deep satisfaction and quiet strain in equal measure. Yet that is precisely what emerges from the 150-page report Thriving (and Surviving) in Ministry, released in mid-November: a clergy that remains overwhelmingly committed, spiritually grounded, and generally content, even as it shoulders rising pressure, emotional fatigue and the aftershocks of a tumultuous decade in the Church’s national life.

For all the challenges exposed, one reality stands firm: Australian clergy, in their own voices, describe a vocation that still brings joy

For years, the leadership of Vatican City’s administrative apparatus followed an unspoken script: the governor of the world’s smallest state was always a cardinal, woven seamlessly into the hierarchical fabric of Roman tradition. That script has now been decisively redrafted. With a Motu Proprio published on 21 November, Pope Leo XIV removed the last legal obstacle preventing non-cardinals—and notably, lay men and women—from presiding over the Commission that oversees the Vatican’s legislative and administrative life.

The correction may look like a technical revision, but its reach extends far beyond the pages of the Fundamental Law. It clarifies, regularizes and ultimately stabilizes one of the most symbolically significant decisions of Pope Francis’s final years in office: the appointment of Sister Raffaella ...

The early hours in Assisi often carry a certain stillness, but on Thursday, November 13, that silence took on a particular weight. Before the usual stream of pilgrims filled the basilica, Pope Leo XIV slipped into the crypt of the Sacro Convento for a private moment before the tomb of Saint Francis. No speeches, no cameras, no ceremonial procession. Only the soft echo of the Pope’s footsteps and the quiet murmuring of the friars who had gathered to pray with him.

"I would like everyone to commit themselves to the challenge of effective communion, so that the face of a collegial Church, which shares common steps and choices, may take shape. In this sense, the challenges of evangelization and the changes of recent decades, which affect the demographic, cultural and ecclesial spheres, ask us not to withdraw on the issue of diocesan mergers, especially where the demands of Christian proclamation invite us to overcome certain territorial boundaries and make our religious and ecclesial identities more open, learning to work together and rethink pastoral action by joining forces" Address of the Pope in the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels in Assisi during the meeting with Italian bishops at the conclusion of the 81st General Assembly of the Italian Episcopal Conference.

The United States, Argentina, and Paraguay were the only three governments to vote against a UN resolution calling for UN sponsored global censorship programs under the guise of combating “disinformation” and “hate speech.”

"Being part of a choir means advancing together, therefore, taking our brothers and sisters by the hand and helping them to walk with us. It means singing the praises of God together, consoling our brothers and sisters in their suffering, exhorting them when they seem to give in to fatigue and encouraging them when difficulties seem to prevail. Singing reminds us that we are a Church on a journey, an authentic synodal reality capable of sharing with everyone the vocation to praise and joy on this pilgrimage of love and hope" Homily of Pope Leo XIV on the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, and Jubilee of Choirs and Musicians
