“Still Fighting. Still Thriving. Still Showing Up.”

17 years ago, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Since then…
I’ve survived 4 strokes
Endured 2 failed corneal transplants
Live with neurotrophic keratitis
Am legally blind in my right eye
Battle chronic migraines, nerve damage, osteoporosis
Have 2 autoimmune diseases
I’m deaf in my right ear
I walk with a titanium rod in my fibula
And there is more...

But I lace up anyway.
I show up anyway.
I fight anyway.

This will be my 16th Race for Research with the Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation — and I’m not stopping now.
Because I’m not just racing for me… I’m racing for the ones who can’t.
I’m racing for the next breakthrough.
I’m racing for HOPE.
