Governor Abbott to Join County GOP on July 25

FORT STOCKTON — Texas Governor Greg Abbott will join the Pecos County Republican Party for a fundraising dinner on July 25 at 7pm.

“I am honored to join Pecos County Republicans in Fort Stockton next week. This is a county that helped begin the red wave in Southwest Texas, and I can’t wait to rally the Pecos County crowd toward victory this November,” said Governor Abbott.

County Judge candidate Bryon Garrison said, “This election is about voting your values and giving voters an opportunity to take back our country one county at a time. We can’t wait to have Governor Abbott here to share his story with our growing GOP community and help us raise money for November’s election.”

In 2020, Pecos County, which is 90% hispanic, voted 3-1 for Republicans hinting at the conservative wave that was building in Southwest Texas. With recent victories of Mayra Flores in CD-34, and Javier Villalobos as Mayor of McAllen, Republicans are poised to retake communities all along our southern border.

“With friends like Governor Abbott, we are going to be able to get a lot of things done in Pecos County,” said Ramona Spears, candidate for County Clerk.

Governor Abbott continues to build upon his record as a strong conservative leader who fights to preserve Texas values and ensure the Lone Star State is the best place to live, work and raise a family.

Dinner starts at 7 pm. Tickets range from $50 to $1000, and proceeds from the evening will help fund the Republican Party of Pecos County. To purchase tickets call 432-217-8600 or 217-820-7943.

We are proud to have called out Tony but saddened that he has continued to betray his countrymen. Two counties in his district called him out and our demands still stand. Here is our original letter and we are glad to welcome the voices of President Trump and Dinesh D'Souza.
Dear Editor,
Our team here in Pecos County were proud of the 60 car Trump Train that we held before the election. Former Democrats and regular Republicans joined together on local hometown values. We turned this blue county, Pecos County, two to one red. It was a joyful and hard won battle that ended in victory for the candidates we supported. This included Congressman Tony Gonzales.
You can imagine our dismay and alarm when almost immediately upon taking office, his metal was tested. If you hold conservative leanings within this party you probably agree that he has failed the test.
Our precinct chairs have been getting non stop calls from people we lead to the polls. They thought it was “Okay” to vote Republican. They believed that the men and women on the ticket would fight for the hometown values that we all believe in. Greater than that we thought that our newly elected congressman would stand with our president and with us against the scourge that we know as the National Democrat party.
It is incumbent upon us to now admonish Mr. Gonzales for the sake of all those trusting souls who marched with us. Who convinced their grandmothers and fathers to vote Republican for the first time. We will act now and have a clear conscience as we look our friends and neighbors in the eye and say,” Yes, he betrayed us and we will fix this in two years.”
In normal times perhaps we could have the patience of Job and work with Mr. Gonzales. These, as most of you would probably agree, are not normal times. If we are going to lead our communities we must make clear that if you go your own way, you will lose our support. There are many good people in our communities to choose from who will have the ability to reflect our values and stand for what is right when the time comes.
The following is our letter of admonishment.
William Garrison
Pecos County Republican Chair
March 10, 2021 Mr. Gonzales,
These Republican chairs of your district, District 23, have heard the cry of your constituents. Through your recent actions, you have lost the confidence and support of those who put you in office.
These are our grievances:
● The alignment with Democrats to certify Joe Biden as president is a move that has broken the promises you made to your voters.
● The promise that you would not support taxpayer money for gender reassignment surgery. President Biden recently reauthorized this action as a result of your support.
● The vote to certify Biden has condemned to death untold numbers of unborn babies and reversed the progress we had made to limit abortion as birth control.
● Inaction on your part has endangered our local police departments, which now may be defunded, our military strength, degraded and our communities are endangered. You were sent to stand in the gap for our families and our nation. Instead, in such a short time, you have been exposed as a weak link to tyranny. As our congressman perhaps you could not have changed the inevitable but we expected you to fight on our side.
● When the moment arrived for you to support our president, the leader of our party and a man who
endorsed your candidacy, you declined and voted with the Democrats and against the interests of Texas on House vote 10 and 11.
● You promised us that you supported the second amendment, then certified a man who is hell bent on disarming the American people.
Your failure to stand with your fellow Republicans lent credibility to the Democrat coup. “...we are Americans, we should all be rooting for our president to be successful.” you said.
Listen to our message: We do not want you to work with the party that stands against everything that is sacred to us. They will restrict our speech, close our businesses, take our guns, indoctrinate our children, and change the very fabric of our country.
What President Obama began, the Biden-Harris administration is already quickly marching to complete, with your help. This was not our aim when we elected you to represent us. We had hoped you would put America First.
President Biden in his first few hours of his presidency signed more executive orders than any
other president in history. You have chosen to side with a tyrant and these acts of treachery have shown a spotlight on your character and we are angry at your betrayal.
You have an obligation to the people of District 23, an obligation at which you have failed. The real enemies are not those who stood outside the capitol last month. Those were Americans seeking a redress of their grievances by their government, which is their Constitutional right. Our enemy is all those who would betray their fellow citizens and their country in exchange for power. It seems you have thrown in your lot with this decrepit elite.
Tony Gonzalez, you have deceived and defrauded the voters who put you in office and we demand your immediate resignation.

Washington is in a state of emergency. There is 50,000 - 60,000 armed soldiers in town preparing for war. It's a very unsettling thing to see..
