Good morning everyone! I hope everyone’s weekend is as extraordinary as this! These were taken in June or July several years ago. This is one of those caves I could visit once a month and still enjoy it.

These sky puppies were evicted from their home inside a building. Someone knocked them down with a broom and swept them outside. An eye witness quickly scooped them into a box and placed them in a local cave. I hope they made it! Mexican free-tailed bats are a federally protected species.

Shawn’s method includes swinging to stay out of the water as much as possible, while Monk just accepted his fate. I think they both got the same amount of wet. These two cavers are 50 years apart in age.

We have the best grotto! Birmingham Grotto Public PageTonight we voted to donate $1,000 to The Gauntlet, $2,000 to the Southeastern Cave Conservancy and these are just the highlights! Yeeeesss we are a fun party grotto, but we do good things too!
