Does anyone have a Jon boat I can borrow on Saturday for just a few hours? Our original boat plan sank today without ever touching the water and now we are boatless with a mission.

Here is the crew-me, a 76 year old legend of a man who has survived more caves than most people have survived Mondays, and one of the smartest cavers I know. All we need to do is put in about a mile from the cave, drop the pit which is close to the water, and come right back.

I have a real boating license and I can operate a boat, in theory. I can even back it up without causing emotional damage to the trailer. When I return your boat it will still be floating and still be in one piece. I cannot promise I will look cool doing any of this but the boat will survive.

People always say the Lord takes care of fools and old people which means we are already in pretty good shape. We just need the boat!
