Couldn’t add this to the last post so here it is in a separate post. Xs for Eyes did all their instruments at once for this recording process. The main goal here is to get drums, bass, and the first layer of both guitars done in a way that gives the songs a live feel. Since they recorded all stringed instruments via direct input we were able to do this without worry of things like amp/noise bleed. They were very prepared which made the whole process even more efficient, and we got thru all the songs with ease.

A very cool feeling to be able to post this update to the website while only being 7 days into the month. Thank you to the artists and bands that are keeping me busy by entrusting me to help them record their art. It is an honor I don’t take lightly and I’m thrilled to do this kind of work I always wanted to do.
Keep watch here on this page as these artists and bands finish their singles, EP’s, and albums as I’ll be sharing them as they become finished products.

Altered State have finished the recording process for their first album! They’ve recorded a few songs here before, but this album shows how great these two are as songwriters. Great work, guys!

Abstentious stopped by yesterday to blaze through all their drum tracks in one day. I’ve never seen a drummer play all their tracks from memory with just a click, but Jake did just that.

I am proud to announce that our film, "Blair County: A People's History," has been nominated by the Mid-Atlantic Emmy Chapter in the "Historical/Cultural – Long Form Content" category!

Congratulations to my follow nominees: Julia Plummer Schokker (Executive Producer), Jared Frederick (Producer/Screenwriter), Mark Stitzer (Director of Photography), and Sam Smith (Sound Director). I also want to thank my family, friends, and crew for making this feature documentary so great. I am incredibly proud of all of us!

The film is now streaming on PBS Passport and HistoryFix. DVDs are available for purchase via the Blair County Historical Society at www.blairhistory.org. Support them by buying a copy!

Today is off to a great start. Got a message this morning from Filmmaker Mark Frederick that “Blair County: A People’s History” is nominated for an Emmy!

It was such an amazing experience to be a part of the making of this documentary and see it go from a massive project file, to a finished product being premiered at the Mishler, having a television debut on the local PBS, and now being nominated for such an award.

Congratulations to the rest of the crew! We made an incredible documentary.
