I think one of the biggest things I did to reinvent myself was stop waiting for the results to give me permission to act like the woman I wanted to become.

Which sounds so obvious now, but I was doing the EXACT opposite with my fitness for years 😂

I thought once I lost the weight, THEN I’d dress differently, feel more confident, take better care of myself and become this disciplined version of me.

Except apparently she wasn’t just going to magically show up one Tuesday morning 👀

So I started looking at the standards the woman I wanted to become would have and making tiny improvements every day.

I got dressed every single day. No excuses. I started being on time because constantly running 10 minutes late was not actually a personality trait 🤪 I planned my weeks in advance. I protected my sleep. I took my workouts seriously.

And I started doing the exact same thing in my business.

I treated it like a REAL business before it looked like the business I wanted.

I planned ahead. I watched my numbers. I stopped letting my mood decide whether I showed up that day. I started making decisions like the CEO of a $3M company before there was $3M sitting in the bank.

And I see so many women doing exactly what I did with my body in their businesses.

You’re waiting for the bigger audience, the bigger revenue month, the team, the clients, the proof…and THEN you’ll show up like the CEO.

Girl…the CEO has to show up first.

The money catches up later.

I don’t know if it’s the millennial in me or the business owner and me but I as I was scaling my company and lost 70 pounds…. somewhere along the way realized I actually didn’t need to become better at running myself into the ground like I did in my 20/30s.

I needed better habits and a business that didn’t stop shutting down every time I closed my dang laptop.

That’s probably why I’m so obsessed with this when I work with fitness coaches now…. Especially the ones building businesses in their 40s 50s and 60s….and a few 70s!

If you’re helping other women build healthier lives but your own business has you panic posting 👀because referrals have been quiet this month, we need to fix that.

You can want a s**t ton more FROM your business without giving it every waking hour of your life. That’s what it’s like to step into my world.

I am a month away from turning 40 so I was looking at old pictures the other day and genuinely had this moment of, wait… I was that big?

Which is wild because obviously I lived in that body every single day.

I’ve lost 70 pounds over the last two and a half years, but I think the biggest change is that my entire life just feels easier now. I sleep, I work out, I eat, take actual time off, and I can close my laptop at 2 without feeling like I HAVE TO be doing somrthing

my business has grown right alongside it bc I now actually have the mental space to focus

for a long time I assumed being ambitious meant I should always be doing more more more…which is so millennial of me🤪.

Like sure, let me build a company, take care of everyone, get 10,000 steps, drink enough water, answer my DMs, eat 50billion grams ofprotein and somehow have a nervous system that isn’t absolutely DESTROYED 😂

Now I want the business AND the life….and have a banging bod in my 40s

And especially if you’re a fitness coach, I don’t think building a successful business should require you to completely ignore all the s**t you’re telling your clients to prioritize.

What are the biggest mistakes I see people making when it comes to creating social content is they think they have to come up with new ideas all the time. This post alone gained me 13,000 followers using very specific wording in my post.

I then went onto repurpose it multiple times using similar if not the same language and it’s still performed well. Past performance, generally predict future performance and so looking back on old posts to see where new one should come from is where you’re going to see more opportunities versus frustration around finding new ideas.
