Romanticizing my life because it’s the only one I’ll ever have šŸ¤Ž

So I’ll pray, drink coffee, read books, find beauty in the mundane, and be madly in love.

Yeah, I have goals… many goals.
And maybe one day I’ll get there. But right now, I’m here…and I’m so grateful for the journey.ā€ ✨

Well… I survived my first real speaking event. šŸ¤Ž
Definitely one of the most nerve-racking and exciting experiences I’ve had.

It definitely wasn’t a TED Talk, and yes…the perfectionist in me is already critiquing every moment. But as someone who usually hides behind the camera or laptop, this was a big step in putting myself out there.

But here’s the thing: I advocate all the time about stepping into uncomfortable places, because that’s where growth happens. Today, I had to practice what I preach.

I’m incredibly grateful for the ACC staff and students who showed up to support me.
And my mom? She deserves a gold medal. šŸ„‡ From reading my drafts 100 times, listening to me cry about illustrating hands (seriously, why are hands so hard?), driving with me to practically every library to see my book on shelves, and then hauling 70 books and my kids upstairs for me today…she’s superwoman, plain and simple.

This is just the beginning. Writing, photography… maybe even more speaking? I don’t know where my path leads, but I know God does. And that’s enough for me.

I think I’ve found my favorite moments to capture… baptism days. šŸ’§āœØ There’s something so powerful about freezing those seconds in time when someone declares their faith and new life in Christ.

This one was extra special for me… because it was my mom’s baptism. šŸ’™ To be behind the camera and in the moment with her is something I’ll never forget.

These are the kinds of memories that remind me why I love what I do…photography isn’t just about pictures, it’s about legacy, testimony, and the stories that live on.

✨ Senior Spotlight: Maddy ✨

God has truly made this girl shine inside and out! 🌟 Maddy’s joy, love for Jesus, and the way she radiates happiness to everyone around her is such a gift to capture.

On top of that, she’s just been accepted into her dream college…GO HUSKIES! 🐾 We’re so proud of her and all the exciting things ahead.

I’m beyond thankful she trusted me to capture this special season of her senior year. šŸ“ø Maddy, you’re a light and I can’t wait to see how God continues to use you in big ways! šŸ’•

She also does photography! So go follow her at Sweet captures with Madison

✨ Elizabeth + Josh ✨

I don’t typically photograph weddings, but what an honor it was to capture such a beautiful, and intimate gathering for our dear friends. šŸ•Šļø

There is something just so special about a warm summer wedding, minimal editing, and joy in the air šŸ¤Ž

✨ My oldest ✨

I don’t think there’s any greater joy than watching your children grow in wisdom and passion.

This boy right here has always been full of energy, enthusiasm, and a willingness to try new things. But one constant has remained…his love for photography. It’s such a gift to see the world through his eyes and perspective.

This little Canon Rebel XTI was my very first camera… and then it became his. The legacy continues.

Who knows! Maybe one day he’ll be my second shooter. šŸ¤ŽšŸ“ø

✨ My Journey ✨

1. New Logo
2. First Logo (2011)
3. First Time Using Photoshop
4. Using Photoshop Now
5. A Photo I Was Really Proud Of
6. A Current Photo I’m Really Proud Of

(Raw, real, storytelling moments. No posing, just life as it unfolds. This is where my heart is now.)

In 2011, I received my very first ā€œrealā€ camera. A Canon Rebel XTI(she retired after 15 years!) and unknowingly began a journey that would shape so much of who I am.

Photography has always been more than just pictures to me. It’s been about artistry, storytelling, learning, creating…and honestly, worship. But life threw its curveballs, and for a while, I set the dream aside.

When I tried to pick it back up again years later, I struggled. The industry felt so loud and so crowded! I thought I was in competition with everyone else. But truthfully, I was only competing with myself. Their vision wasn’t mine.

This year has been different. Publishing my children’s book gave me courage I didn’t know I still had. Working at my church doing photography and social media reminded me of my ā€œwhy.ā€ Picking up action sports photography this summer gave me a brand new passion I am excited to explore!

God has been moving in ways I can’t explain, reminding me that He writes the story, and my only job is to keep showing up with my camera, my creativity, and my heart.

So here’s a little journey through the years. Thanks for being here with me on this new (old) adventure. šŸ¤Ž

As summer winds down, I can’t help but reflect on what an incredible time it’s been capturing our local swim team! Every moment was full of energy, and I immensely enjoyed learning something new! šŸŠā€ā™€ļøšŸ“ø

I’ll be sharing more sports photography here right alongside what I capture at church as the Digital Outreach Coordinator. My two loves.

What more could a girl ask for? šŸ¤Ž

Rainy days don’t have to be gloomy. Honestly, rainy days are my favorite! Sometimes they’re just an invitation to slow down.

Here’s to soggy shoes, full hearts, and the gentle kind of joy only books can bring. šŸ¤Ž

Welcome to my jungle photo dump.

Featuring:
🦜 A parrot with better highlights than me.
🌺 A flower that looks like it just hit the sauna.
🐸 A frog who’s deciding if you’re worth the poison.
🪶 Birds that are definitely judging you.
šŸ•·ļø A tarantula I politely admired from a safe zoom lens.
šŸ’ And a Cotton-top Tamarin who definitely knows all your secrets.

Nature’s wild, and wonderful…and I love to capture it šŸ¤Ž
