New business coming to Alvin!!
⚾🧢🏀🍔🏈
Foul Play Sports Bar coming soon. I don't have a ton of information about this new business, but I'm excited to see people continuing to invest in our community.

This business is located in the same strip Center as Happy Takos and Hot Worx. This is across Hwy 35 from chocolate Bayou Credit Union.

There are many other small and large projects continuing to make progress in our area. I will do my best to keep you all informed.

🌪️ First Named Storm of 2025: Alvin
(Calm down y’all, it’s on the West Coast) 🌴

If this storm is anything like home, it’s expected to have:

💨 High chance of humidity
🎯 Scattered mosquitoes
🚂 Heavy railroad delays
📱 Flash flooding of social media gossip
🙃 100% chance of sarcasm

We fully expect the next storm to be a far less impressive Manvel. 😉

🌯 WELCOME TO ALVIN, CHIPOTLE! 🌯
Today was the grand opening and let me tell you—our newest restaurant did not disappoint. The line moved fast thanks to a full crew of friendly staff, and the food? Absolutely 🔥. I even managed to snap a blurry pic of my daughter sprinting toward the chips and queso—because priorities! 😂

Alvin is BOOMING. In just the past few months, we’ve welcomed:
✅ Waffle House
✅ McAlister's Deli
✅ Chipotle
✅ Corey's Kitchen - The Fillin Station
✅ Gabys Pastries & Coffee Shop
✅ The Teaspoon - (New Owners)

And a little birdie told me we’re not done yet... 👀

Here’s what this means: Options. Options to eat, play, and shop right here at home. That’s something I’m passionate about—making sure Alvin stays business-friendly and gives our residents more reasons to spend their dollars locally.

More exciting announcements are on the way—this is just the beginning! 💥

Tonight, I was officially sworn in as a City of Alvin Council member — with my beautiful wife, my children, my brother, and a room full of friends, supporters, and mentors standing beside me. The campaign is over. The votes have been counted. And it's time to get to work.

I want to say thank you once again — from the bottom of my heart — to every single person who believed in this journey, walked alongside me, knocked doors, said prayers, or simply cheered me on from afar. Your support means everything.

I carried a few meaningful reminders with me tonight — symbols of where I’ve been and what matters most:

⌚ A broken watch that belonged to my father — it doesn’t tell time anymore, but it reminds me every day that time is precious. Don’t waste it.

🧦 A pair of fun socks — following Ed Thompson’s tradition, but with a grounding reminder of my roots in the fire service and the importance of staying humble through it all.

🦆 A rubber ducky on my desk — courtesy of my five-year-old, who told me it would bring me luck.

🚘 A lapel pin made to look like a Texas license plate — a gift from my wife, reminding me that serving our community isn’t about reaching a destination — it’s a journey, one mile at a time. And today is just the beginning.

I’m honored, I’m grateful, and I’m ready to lead with heart, purpose, and dedication. Let’s get to work, Alvin.
