Sometimes a big dream starts with research, a budget, and one very convincing letter to Dad. For Brynn Martin, it ended with a tiny dachshund named Maple in her arms. 🐶
As a student at Austin Middle School, Brynn put lessons from her financial literacy class into action. She saved money, calculated supply costs, researched dachshunds, and created a detailed plan for caring for a dog herself. After plenty of no’s and several breeder leads that did not work out, her family finally found Maple. 💗
Maple has brought more than puppy cuddles. When Brynn takes her outside, neighbors wave, say hello, and cheer Maple on, creating the kind of simple connections that make a neighborhood feel like home. 🏡
