Dear Melissa
Out of nowhere, someone I briefly dated over a decade ago added me on social media. I clicked her profile and saw she has a son who’s about the exact age that lines up with when we were together, and he looks a lot like me. I’m married now and my wife and I have been struggling to have kids, so the thought that I might already have one is throwing me off. I don’t know if she reached out to reconnect or if it’s just a coincidence, but now I can’t stop wondering. Should I message her to ask or would that just stir up unnecessary trouble for everyone involved?
