Dear Melissa
I went to a holiday party for singles last week and was stunned when I saw my co-worker's husband there. He wasn't wearing his wedding ring. The week before, my coworker and her husband were the happiest couple at our office Christmas party. Should I say something to her or not? She is about to get promoted and will become my boss after the first of the year. We are close friends and I don't know what to do. There are personal and professional ramifications here!

Dear Melissa
My wife and I got into a fight last night after she got home with the kids from holiday shopping. She bought a ton of Christmas gifts for our Chihuahua. We got into an argument because I told her she spent way too much money on the dog. Our Chihuahua will play with the toy for a day and then forget about it. I told her to take back all of the toys except one. She’s refusing and says the dog is just as much a part of our family as our children. We actually went to bed angry. Should pets even get Christmas gifts? It's not like they care about the holiday. Am I wrong for insisting my wife return the gifts and watch our money when cash is tight?
