Dear Melissa
My boyfriend and I are fighting over Thanksgiving. We have been dating for six months and he still has not met my family. He wants to go to his family's house for Thanksgiving because he says they have a tradition of everybody getting together once a year. I told him I want him to come to my Thanksgiving and finally meet my family. They are starting to question why he is not coming around. He says he is not ready and that six months is too soon. I disagree. How long should you wait before introducing your partner to your family? Why would he be copping out? Should I take this as a red flag? What subliminal message is he sending?
