Dear Melissa,
Last weekend I flew home so I could celebrate Father's Day with my family. On Saturday, my mother and I were cleaning out the attic and the basement when I came across some old family papers. My sister's birth certificate did not list my dad as her father. When I questioned my mother about this, she turned white as a ghost and acted like she didn't know anything about it. I know when something's wrong with my mom and something was definitely very wrong after I asked the question. Yesterday at dinner, I had a queasy feeling in my stomach because of what I found. Should I tell my sister and father or leave it alone? Something's not right? Everybody always jokes that my sister and I look nothing alike. Now, it's not funny.

Dear Melissa
I'm a grandmother and have been watching my grandson since the start of Summer break. I can't believe that his mother allows him to eat whatever he wants for breakfast. She says he doesn't like traditional breakfast foods so she's okay with him eating pizza, ice cream and other junk food just as long as he has something in his stomach. She and I got into a big argument yesterday about this. I told her she is the parent and needs to lay down the law by making sure her son eats proper breakfast food for good nutrition. She says that's old school parenting and no one does that anymore. She says kids are picky eaters in 2025 so whatever he decides to eat for breakfast is fine as long as he has a full belly. She says parents shouldn't force their kids to eat certain foods. I disagree. Where do you stand on this? Should kids be allowed to eat junk food for breakfast
