🚤 LAKE LEVELS ARE CHANGING — SO SHOULD YOUR BOAT RAMP! 🌊

Planning to launch at Lake Meredith? Before you hitch up the boat and head for the water, check the lake level and make sure you’re using the appropriate boat ramp.

As water levels change, some ramps may become difficult—or even unsafe—for launching and loading your boat. A ramp that worked great last weekend may not be the best choice today!

✅ Before you launch:
• Check current lake conditions and water levels.
• Choose a boat ramp appropriate for the current lake level and your vessel.
• Watch for shallow areas, exposed lakebed, rocks, and other hazards.
• Take it slow when launching and loading.
• If a ramp looks questionable, don’t risk it—choose another ramp.

🛥️ Pro tip: A little planning before you leave can save you from a whole lot of trouble at the water’s edge. Nobody wants their boat ramp adventure to turn into a “somebody grab the tow strap” adventure!

Sept. 15th, 2026 @ 3:50 PM: Thunderstorms are beginning to form along a frontal boundary, which is along or just north of the Highway 60 corridor. These thunderstorms have the potential to produce wind gusts up to 60 mph. They will also be producing torrential rainfall, and carry with them the risk for flash flooding. Storms are expected to continue to develop along the boundary as it continues to push southeast.

There is also a surface boundary left over from yesterday's thunderstorms in the far southeastern TX Panhandle. These storms have the potential to produce the same hazards as they move northeast toward the Oklahoma border.

Sept 15 @ 1:00 PM: We are watching an advancing cold front as it moves to the southeast. As it progresses, strong to severe thunderstorms could occur. Winds up to 60 mph are possible, as well as penny-sized hail, and torrential rainfall. Areas along and southeast of the highlighted area have the best chances of seeing these storms. Timing of these storms depends on how fast the cold front moves.
