Cowboy Poetry is a uniquely American art form written by people who have a love for a western lifestyle and about people who lived during the writer’s lifetime. We write about historical events and record the life of the cow country today.

When we fenced off the range, the cowboy thought that his way of life was gone forever. And the way he knew it was. At that time he started writing songs and poems lamenting the passing of the west. Here we are 100 years later still lamenting the passing of the west.

But there are new poems and stories being written using the same pattern with a respect for yesteryear, showing confidence and pride in today with a vision of cow country for tomorrow.
These are wholesome stories that may be the only insight into the cowboy and ranching lifestyle of our generation.

We hope you’ll join us this Saturday night to celebrate this culture and contribute to the future of cowboy poetry by your generous support of this scholarship fundraiser concert!
