On this 24th anniversary of 9/11, we remember the lives lost and the families forever affected by that day. It reminds us of the fragility of life and the presence of evil in our world.

Our hearts also ache for the innocent lives recently taken, and we pray for comfort, healing, and the guidance to respond with love and compassion.

🎹 How Much Should You Practice? Let’s Talk About It! 🎸

The short answer: consistency matters more than perfection, and it doesn’t have to take hours a day to see growth!

Here’s a general guideline based on age and experience:

🎶 Ages 4–6 (Beginners):
5–10 minutes a day is plenty! Keep it light, fun, and part of their routine. Think of it as “musical playtime.”

🎶 Ages 7–10:
15–25 minutes a day, 5 days a week. These students are ready to build focus and technique - shorter, focused sessions are best.

🎶 Ages 11–14:
30–45 minutes a day. At this stage, students can work on multiple skills (scales, sight-reading, performance pieces).

🎶 Teens & Adults:
45–60 minutes, depending on goals. Intermediate and advanced players benefit from breaking practice into segments (warm-up, technique, repertoire).

✨ The key? Consistency > Intensity
A little each day builds momentum, confidence, and long-term progress. If practice is turning into a daily battle, let us know - we can help make it more engaging at home too!
