It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ryan Lane Simpson, who left us far to soon on September 10, 2026, at the age of 21. Ryan was one of the most genuine, loving, kind, caring, fun spirited humans and he touched many lives.
Ryan was born on April 24, 2005, in Amarillo, Texas to Gary Lane Simpson and Chelsea Dianne Simpson.
Ryan graduated from Amarillo High in 2023. Ryan started the JATC schooling in 2024. He joined IBEW Electrical Union in 2024. He began his electrical apprenticeship to become a journeyman. He was very passionate about his job and had even been told he was one of the best pipe benders. He enjoyed shooting, gaming, riding his motorcycle, weightlifting/body building, and spending time with his friends. Though his time with us was far too short, the love, laughter, and memories he shared will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He will always be deeply loved and greatly missed.
He was proceeded in death by his grandfather Roger Van Grisham and his step grandfather Rusty Williamson.
He is survived by his parents, Lane and Chelsea Simpson; his grandparents Kathy Grisham, Doris Williamson, Gary Simpson & wife, Kye Simpson. His uncle Shane Simpson, aunt Roxanna & husband, Jeremy Roy, and aunts Stephini Grisham and Robin Grisham. He is also survived by many loving cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday, September 17th at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow the service at Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the GoFundMe established to assist with expenses and support the family during this difficult time.
