WHHW Films An independent production company based out of Philadelphia, currently finishing post-production on

WHHW Films is at long last nearing the completion of our first project while in development on several others for production in 2013-14. Founded in 2011 by Scott Hudson, Denise Donaghy, Chris Armstrong, and Jamie Rubin, WHHW is a collective of storytellers and film lovers. The core team currently consists of Hudson, Armstrong, Rubin, and Dan Marino, who came on board as Art Director and later Co-P

roducer on THE PROPERTY. THE PROPERTY (formerly titled Moving Day) is a short film written & directed by Scott Hudson. The initial outing from WHHW Films, THE PROPERTY is based on a feature screenplay of the same name. We shot in the spring of 2012 in the greater Philadelphia area for a cost that would make most micro-budget filmmakers scoff. After a year of editing, composing, editing, mixing, recording, producing, editing, and more editing, we’re nearly ready to show off the fruits of our labor. THE PROPERTY will be completed in late summer 2013 and will begin submitting to festivals for the fall. Other projects we’re currently developing include a documentary about tabletop roleplaying games (RPGs), two feature scripts including the feature version of THE PROPERTY, another short film, and an anthology of one-minute shorts.

Scott has a few words to say about letting go of the movie. Also, an update on future content on the ol' WHHW Blog. Read and enjoy.

So obviously we've been a little light on content since the screening. Sorry about that.

Jeanmarie Mitchell, the saint who let us shoot on her property last year, is raising money to open a store on the farm to sell her award winning grass-fed beef. This is a wonderful opportunity to support local food and an honest-to-god small business entrepreneur. Visit the Kickstarter, watch the video, donate, and SHARE.

Everyone has a distinct creative process. A way of expressing themselves that is as diverse as DNA. The great unifying factor is that we all have to struggle in order to make our creation real.

We're back! Read our heartfelt thoughts on the amazing experience that was the private screening at Ambler last weekend.

So obviously we've gone quiet the last week, mostly to recover from the last month of non-stop work to get the movie finished.

This wasn't supposed to happen until later in the week, but we're too excited to wait. Presenting the official poster for THE PROPERTY, as designed by Brittany Bird.

So, coming into the not-our-premiere-just-a-private-party screening this weekend, we did not expect to have a poster.

Something different for you: a photo blog! Unveiling photographer and friend Meg Eubank's gorgeous production stills taken on the fifth day of our shoot last year. More to come this week, but for now read on.

What struck me most about these pictures is how well Meg tells a story visually. She was present on a particularly strange day of the shoot and captured the ups and downs of that emotional rollercoaster in crisp, honest, beautiful detail.
