Many small towns in Kentucky boast a historic log home. In some cases they are moved from their original location to the town center, like this one in Williamstown. It was built in 1799, as the home of William Arnold, a revolutionary war hero. What do log cabins evoke for Americans and Kentuckians today?

Skinny buildings in small town Kentucky. The first shot is in Williamstown - storefront about the length of a car. The coffee shop is in Falmouth and I measured it at seven feet!

Narrow storefronts contribute to a varied streetscape by allowing for more storefronts and entrances in a limited space, encouraging pedestrian interaction and business diversity.
