Duck… duck… GOOSE!!!

The NWCOA Goose Management Professional Course hands on portion is next week and time is running out to get the online portion taken.

With resident Canadian Geese numbers climbing higher and higher HOA’s, businesses, municipalities and homeowners are needing solutions!

These birds truly represent a urbanized species that comes into conflict with humans and while most wildlife control operators get a chuckle watching the videos of “goose attacks” the filth they leave behind isn’t a laughing matter and to many the potential liability of aggressive geese isn’t taken lightly.

Urbanized species are our specialty!! Position yourself to take advantage of this revenue stream!

RAIN OR SHINE! Please dress for the weather and being outside, including: work clothes, rubber boots, gloves, insect repellent, hat and sun glasses.

A ounce of prevention….

Zoonotic issues are not a joke! But luckily for operators staying free of parasites, zoonotic diseases isn’t impossible!

Understanding transmission routes and how to avoid them is key, understanding secondary transmission routes to keep family, clients safe just makes sense!!!

I Here’s six and a half hours of training available online that just might be the best money you’ll ever spend especially if you consider the alternatives and the costs associated with them!

Western wildlife folks, listen up and those around the country…this is a great opportunity!!!

NWCOA’s Western Training Event is back June 19–20th, 2026 near Jackson Hole + the Grand Tetons. Sponsored by WCS and HY-C.

We’ve got two days of hands-on training you’ll actually use in the field:

Friday June 19th: Structural Bat Management (Bat2)

This is the full-day certification. Metal bending, ridge/vent/chimney exclusion work, ladder & scaffolding safety, decontamination, guano contracts, pricing, everything.

Heads up: You must finish the online portion before June 19th — that link drops June 1st.

Then you’ll take the online portion of Bat 2 and then attend the hands on portion.

Pass the test and you walk out a NWCOA Certified Structural Bat Management Professional.

Don’t forget this is the prerequisite… https://nwcoa.thinkific.com/

Saturday June 20th: Water Trapping

Full day focused on beaver, muskrat, and other water-based work. Sets, equipment, safety, regulations, dealing with dams/flooding, non-targets, the stuff that’s hard to learn from a video.

If you’re on the fence about adding water work to your business, this is the day to get your questions answered.

Why make the trip?

1. Real hands-on reps, not just PowerPoints.
2. It’s Wyoming in June. Train all day, hit the Tetons after.

8am-6pm both days. These hands-on courses will probably only be done once this year!!!
