โš ๏ธ SCAM ALERT: Fake Arrest Warrants
We have received multiple reports today that scammers are impersonating Niagara County Sheriff's Office employees, and claiming you have an active arrest warrant. The scammers then demand money to โ€œclear it up.โ€ In one case, they spoofed real police phone numbers, and have been known to send fake documents with official-looking seals.

REMEMBER:
๐Ÿšซ Police or courts will never call, text, or email you to demand payment
๐Ÿ’ณ They will never ask for gift cards, wire transfers, or personal banking info
๐Ÿ“ž If you get a suspicious call, hang up and contact your local police department directly

Stay calm. Stay skeptical. And spread the word so no one you care about gets caught in this trap!
