Another of our new books this year is:
A Story of Saint Aloysius Gonzaga
Aloysius was a typical boy who loved to play games and run with his dogs. He also had great determination and faith which helped when asking Our Lady to help him find God's will for his future.

This year we added 10 new titles. They are Level 1 books. One of the titles is: A Story of Saint John Vianney. John's mother taught him to pray as soon as he was able to talk. John spent his life dedicated to bringing souls to Christ.
This is another great role model to learn about from our In the Footsteps of the Saints series.

We are so excited for all the families that have been ordering our new monthly special. Dear friends and families-With the start of 2021, here is a suggestion for a family New Year Resolution. This one is easier than most and a lot more fun for the whole family to enjoy and learn from. You can do this as a family and do it anywhere including home. Let’s read about the saints and other famous Catholics.

Each month we will be offering a new set of books to read aloud, enjoy and learn from. Each group will include 4 or 5 books (a new one for each week of the month). It will also include 4 pieces of stationery, envelopes & seals for the envelopes.

This is a great gift for any occasion. To receive a new package each month for the year. How exciting. After January 15th the yearlong subscription option will be removed but you can still order the new group each month. It would be best to order at least 2 or 3 weeks before the start of the month so that you can have the new books for each week.

A Story of Saint Roch-Roch was born in the late 1200's. As a young man he set out on a pilgrimage to Rome. It was on this journey that he encountered many sick people that had contracted the plague and he stayed to care for many of them. In the course of doing so he himself contracted the plague and became very ill.

As we are preparing for the Lenten season we have much to consider. What are we going to do personally to make this Lent the best one that we can? How can we encourage our children to make it their best Lent? It is a time of preparing for the great feast of Easter. Growing up we were encouraged to fast, practice abstinence, and perform penance during this time of preparation. One thing I try and do is spend a little more time reading about my faith and about the men and women who have done so much to help us increase our love of God through the many years since Christ walked on the earth and died for us. Many of these men and women are now canonized saints. They are great role models for all of us from our young children/grandchildren to ourselves and on through our lives. Consider taking some time to read about the lives of the saints during this time of preparation and see if we can put into practice some of the same virtues that they themselves practiced.
