Harvest Moonrise shines through dramatic clouds above Fidalgo Bay and Guemes Channel, captured on the evening of October 7, 2025, looking east from Cap Sante Marina and Seafarer's Memorial Park in Anacortes, Washington. The bright moon illuminates Hat Island below, while a cargo ship transits the channel, adding interest to the deep blue twilight scene. Photographed with a Sony A7iv camera on tripod for crisp details and stunning color. This image highlights the serene power of the Pacific Northwest shoreline during the annual Harvest Moon event.

Painted Skies at Sundown - This amazingly beautiful sky was captured at sundown on October 7, 2025, while waiting for the Harvest Moon to rise. Wispy clouds stretch across the sky, softly illuminated with warm, golden light, creating a painterly effect that hints at the magic of nature's evening canvas. The scene evokes a tranquil moment just before the moonrise, where day transitions gracefully into night.

A small fishing boat makes its way back from tending crab traps at the entrance to Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes, Washington, on October 7, 2028. Swirling overhead, a flock of seagulls eagerly anticipate scraps from the day's catch, reflecting the lively and symbiotic relationship between local fisheries and coastal wildlife. The shoreline features autumnal colors, marina navigational markers, and the familiar wooded backdrop of the Pacific Northwest, capturing an active seasonal scene in this beloved maritime community.
