On December 2, 2025, a usually shy Belted Kingfisher pauses on a bare branch at the north end of March's Point overlooking Guemes Channel. Using a 200–600mm lens from a respectful distance made this challenging portrait possible as the bird finally stayed still long enough to be photographed.
