Available Now! Episode 34: Haunted Mansion Holiday 🎄☠️

For today’s episode, we take a deep dive into the history, secrets, facts, and stories behind Disney’s best holiday overlay… Haunted Mansion Holiday!

At the beginning of this episode, we discuss how Disney originally envisioned an entire Nightmare Before Christmas attraction before there was even the idea of transforming this popular movie into an overlay. Swipe over to see 1996 concept art from former Disney Imagineer Christopher Merritt. While this ended up being a dropped ride concept, it’s always fun to envision the possibilities of a Nightmare-based attraction.

Are you happy we received the overlay? Or would you have rather seen an entire Nightmare dark ride? This would have been similar to a Fantasyland style dark ride like Peter Pan, where instead of a pirate ship you are suspended from the ceiling in a coffin traveling through Halloweentown and Christmastown.

Another new episode!! Listen in as we dive into our experiences with all the fun Halloween festivities at the Disneyland Resort.

BUT, that’s not all! We needed an expert to explain everything WDW has to offer, so we had the pleasure of being joined by a very special guest!! Karrie offers great insight into everything you could want to know about WDW’s Halloween parties!

Now I have to address the BIG elephant in the room… mine and Clayton’s audio sounds horrible during the second half of this episode. Don’t know exactly what happened, but I was honestly crushed when I found out. This is all during Karrie’s interview portion, so there really wasn’t anything we could do after the fact. Karrie is the star of this segment, so I’m just thankful her audio sounds fine! I just sincerely apologize for the quality! We are still learning and sometimes these errors are bound to happen, but this is not the quality level we aim to produce. Thank you everyone for your understanding and hope you enjoy!
