Kenner’s 1985 Power Of The Force line introduced the Collector Coins. 62 coins were released. 35 of them could be found on retail packages. 27 were available through a mail in campaign. They didn’t sell very well at the time, but that scarcity means that these toy coins can command some serious real life coin.

Seven years ago this weekend, at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, Disney announced Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser was coming to Walt Disney World. Slated to open in 2021, it eventually opened in 2022… and closed in 2023. An ambitious project that a very limited number of Star Wars fans ever got to see.
