✨🪴Zones of Regulation🪴✨
My goal this year is to recognize and regulate MY own emotions as well as help my students recognize their strong feelings and give them tools to regulate their emotions in a healthy way.🧘🏻♀️
If our students are in the blue, yellow, or red zone, they are not in the best headspace to learn new content. It goes both ways! If we are in the blue, yellow, or red zone, it gets harder for us to do our jobs effectively. Our goal is to use strategies in our tool box to return to the green zone so we can live our best lives 😌✨
These cards show the different zones, the feelings that come with each, and a small list of strategies to help return to the green zone.
I’m going to introduce my calm corner next week where students have access to fidgets, plush, stress balls, resistance bands, and a cold compress (kept in my fridge). We definitely will go over expectations and rules so it doesn’t become a distraction, but I think it’ll be a really great addition to our classroom!
I’ve been a bit swamped with back to school this week, but let me know if you want these zone cards & calm corner sign!! I’m going to tackle a lot of TPT items this weekend💖
