Just past the halfway point of the 2026 season, Haiden Deegan continues to prove he belongs in the premier 450MX class. 💪

The two-time 250MX Champion has already collected multiple podium finishes and currently sits third in the championship standings. As he keeps adapting to the bigger bike and tougher competition, Deegan is showing that his ceiling is incredibly high.

🚨 Haiden Deegan: "It’s going to take time... but I’ll get there."

Haiden Deegan knows success in the 450 class doesn't happen overnight.
After Southwick, Deegan said his biggest focus is improving every single week while continuing to dial in his Yamaha. The 450 is a completely different machine, and learning its power, suspension, and overall feel takes time. One major positive? His starts were the best they've been all season.

Rather than getting frustrated about not going 1-1, Deegan is focused on learning, making progress, and putting in the work every weekend.

He also acknowledged that riders like Jett and Hunter Lawrence have a huge advantage with years of 450 experience. They've spent multiple seasons developing their bikes and adapting to the premier class, while he's still in the learning phase.

His message is simple: the experience gap is real—but with patience, hard work, and confidence, he believes his time will come. 💪

Do you think it's only a matter of time before Haiden Deegan starts winning in the 450 class? 👇🔥

If Deegan was smart , he would treat the Lawrence's like Kobe treated
Jordan, with respect, and ask questions
Jordan took Kobe under his wing, even though they never played on the same team, Jordan appreciated the respect Kobe showed, so when Kobe asked a question, Jordan was happy to help him.
If Deegan would embrace the student role, he could learn a lot, might find himself on top a lot quicker.

Haiden Deegan knows success in the 450 class won't happen overnight.

After Southwick, Deegan said his biggest goal is to keep improving every week while continuing to dial in his Yamaha. He explained that the 450 is a completely different package, with new suspension and engine characteristics that take time to understand. One positive? His starts were much better this weekend.

Deegan isn't discouraged by not going 1-1. Instead, he's focused on finding what needs to improve and putting in the work each week.

He also acknowledged that riders like Jett and Hunter Lawrence have a significant advantage with multiple seasons of 450 experience. They've had years to develop their bikes and adapt to the premier class, while he's still learning.

His message was clear: the experience gap is real, but he believes he'll get there through hard work and patience.

Haiden Deegan’s starts were on another level at Southwick! 🔥
A huge improvement off the gate gave him the opportunity to battle at the front all day. If he keeps launching like this, the competition is in serious trouble. 👀💪

🔥 Respect recognizes respect.

Haiden Deegan and Brian Deegan had nothing but praise for Sacha Coenen after his fearless ride at Southwick. Brian called him a true ticket seller, while Haiden said he sees a lot of himself in Sacha—just “a little too sendy,” even compared to him! 🤯

One thing is clear: Sacha Coenen’s aggressive riding style is earning respect from some of the biggest names in the sport. 👏🏁

Haiden Deegan on Southwick National -
🗣️ “It’s not going to happen overnight, but really just running through setup after setup after setup and find that comfort zone, whether it works on the weekend or doesn’t, it’s the risk I have to take right now. It’s the time is now to do that, your rookie season. You kind of have a little buffer to kind of go try things.

“And I feel like that’s been the best. I’ve never been really someone to come out in a new class to just shock the world right away. I feel like my thing is just continue to build and build and build and I’m just going to keep doing that, and I think one not crashing is key.”

“As a winner, it’s hard to accept not winning, but it’s kind of what you got to do at the moment. You don’t want to get too spun out or get too big of a head during the race and do something stupid.”
