I’m seeing BTS for the first time and I am feeling KILIG. 😌🥰💜 (Can you guess who’s my bias?)

Kilig is a Tagalog word that’s hard to translate perfectly into English.

It’s that fluttery feeling of excitement and joy. The butterflies in your stomach. The little shiver of delight when you’re so happy you almost can’t contain it.

It’s often used for romantic moments, but I think kilig can show up in so many of life’s experiences.

A moment you’ve been waiting for.
Seeing someone you admire.
Hearing your favorite song live.
Or, in my case…

seeing BTS for the first time. 🥹💜

Yeah. I’m definitely feeling kilig.

This wasn’t just a movie panel.🇵🇭
It was a celebration of Filipino storytelling, culture and animation.✨

My sister and I woke up at 5:00 AM, got in line by 6:30 AM, and ended up in the second row for DreamWorks Animation’s Forgotten Island panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

Hearing the directors/writers and cast talk about the heart behind this film made the early morning completely worth it. They shared how Forgotten Island is a love letter to the Philippines, its mythology, its people and the animation medium itself.

You could feel the passion in every story they told, from the chemistry between the cast during voice recording to the intention behind bringing Filipino culture to audiences around the world. The panel even ended with an exclusive performance of “A Parallel World” by BINI, making the experience even more unforgettable.

As a Filipino American, seeing our stories, and culture celebrated on one of the biggest stages in entertainment meant a lot. I can’t wait for more people to experience this film.

ROBBLE, ROBBLE chaos💥

San Diego Comic Con has been fun so far. So many things amazing cosplays and activations in the expo hall. I found out the cosplay tunnel section is right outside the lobby. So many cosplay builds and friendly creators to network with. Wearing my Hamburglar cosplay is so comfy and a crowd pleaser, I can be a menace to society in a good way haha. Now today we’re going to spend the day downtown to check out the pop-ups and activations around Petco Park.

Seeing KATSEYE for their second tour 😎

TICKETS + VIP ACCESS, let’s go EYEKONS💫 I’ll be at the Washington DC show!

I saw them last November for their Beautiful Chaos tour with the help of Hot Topic sponsoring me to go! I was so happy when I found out I was going. I’m a huge fan and also a respectful creator peer. These women are powerful AF. I can’t wait to see them on the big stage for their WORLD TOUR.

I’ll be making goodies/freebies for this show and maybe host a EYEKONS meetup this September beforehand. Would you go to a DMV EYEKONS MEETUP?
