He invented the ‘Turing Test’, which tests whether a machine can control its artificial intelligence and predict the behavior of a human. Born in London on June 23, 1912, Alan Mathison Turing showed an extraordinary talent for mathematics. Even at school, he showed great ability to solve extremely complex mathematical problems and theories. Alan, who received a first-class honors degree in mathematics from Cambridge University, received his doctorate from Princeton University in the United States. The ‘Turing Machine’ he developed in 1936 is considered the basis of the central processing unit we see today.
It was then that World War II began, bringing misfortune to the whole world. The secret coded war messages exchanged by the N***s were a big headache for the Allied forces. They used a machine called ‘Enigma’, which was developed by the German intelligence service, to exchange these secret coded messages. For a long time, the Allied forces, including the British, were in great difficulty because they could not distinguish what messages were being exchanged by these machines.
Alan Turing was one of the members of the team of scientists appointed by Max Newton, Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge University, to decipher these secret codes. It was there that he created the ‘Bohm Machine’. This Bohm Machine is undoubtedly accepted as the world’s first electronic computer.
This machine enabled Britain to decipher almost all of Hitler's secret war messages, saving millions of lives. It is difficult to imagine how World War II would have ended without Turing's Bohm machine.
It is also believed that Alan Turing presented the first acceptable thesis on artificial intelligence. Alan was also very interested in quantum physics.
In addition to all this, Alan was also a brilliant marathon runner.
This great man, who served the world so much with his knowledge and intelligence, was not an 'ordinary man' by any standard.

He was found guilty of the charge. What happened then? He was banned from entering the Government Communications Headquarters, or GCHQ, the division in charge of signals intelligence and intelligence information for the armed forces. Alan Turing, who had not broken the enemy's secret codes as a codebreaker from this very premises, forever forgot that the Allied forces would not have won the Battle of the Atlantic, and that the European battle to defeat the N**i enemy would have been limited to two years and at least 14 million lives would have been saved.
