One of our goals is to attend state and national dancing events, representing and performing Inupiaq songs and dances.

As we gather names, song/dance knowledge and interests, we hope to have enough seasoned singers and dancers to set up local performances.

Will there be a stage for Inupiaq Dancing anywhere in Anchorage this 4th of July?

Growing up in rural Alaska, our community would feature Inupiaq Dancing, a native beauty contest, games/prizes for the kids and food.

Contact the Anc. Inupiaq Dancers if you are a drummer, singer or dancer and want to perform. Would like to find a place to practice and a stage for the 4th of July.

2023 Anchorage Inupiaq Dancers practice days and times

• how many will be attending:
• Beginners? NAME /Age group/phone/email
• Performers? NAME Age group /phone/email
• Will you bring a drum?
• Will you lead beginners or performers?

When do you want to practice:
• Monday 3:30p-5:00p?
• Tuesday 3:30p-5:00p?
• Wednesday 3:30p-5:00p?
• Thursday 3:30p-5:00p?
• Friday 3:30p-5:00p?

We have a lot of beginners who want to learn and there are several performers who want to practice for performances so there may be either or both types of practice depending if we have members who will lead one or both practices.

The location is a public space with free parking and near several bus stops.

A room that will fit up to 26 will be reserved so the first 26 emails will be notified of the place, day and times unless we receive more interest then a larger space can be arranged.
