But first, a story for you:

The other day the stars aligned and and I got the "second shift" of filling our cups with November sunshine and backcountry skiing powder turns 🎿⛷️☀️The thing that made it rad is that our husbands took the am shift and then we switched, coordinating cars, meet up times, kids, gear, safety & snow beta.... It was no small feat but at the end of the day, everyone was satisfied and stoked.

Why am I sharing this story? Well, it occurred to me that the day was a beautiful culmination of so many things that we teach in our online course, Expecting Moms, Empowered Moms.

We are constantly working hard to make our partners true partners & attempting to balance the mental and emotional load (module 5), we actively addressed our mom guilt of prioritizing our skiing over skiing with the kids that day (module 3) and are constantly addressing our own fitness, strength and body image postpartum (module 8). We are both far from perfect - and everything feels like a dynamic work in progress but the day felt like a glorious win on so many levels and that's what we want for you too.

👋Hey pre teen mommas! I see you! If everything you do or say is “cringy”,
I’m here to say you are NOT alone AND this too shall pass! As with every stage of motherhood, each age/stage has things we love about it and things that we don’t and are HARD.

My oldest has recently been outspoken in her thoughts on my cheering and photo taking at races. Although she has warmed up to my style of cheering during the running season, it is obvious during this recent costume race that photos are still NOT ok! 😂

You are amazing mommas, despite these strong willed children that believe they have it all figured out and we as their moms are nerdy, embarrassing and know nothing!😘 They need us, love us (deep down they do!!)and we are their safe space to navigate this complicated stage they are in! Don’t take it personally mommas and keep being the loving and supportive momma that you are! 🥰
