The studio is up and running and the first order is complete! The voice on the tape we were digitizing was from the 1970’s… and he was born in 1899! 🥹 ❤️

His first job was selling eggs and they sold for .06 cents a dozen.

We just wanted to take a minute to say THANK YOU to everyone who has reached out already with your VHS tapes, film reels, photos, audio recordings, and other precious memories.
We honestly didn't expect so many of you to be ready to hand over your memories to us right away! 🥹
Behind the scenes, we're still getting our studio organized, putting the finishing touches on our workspace, and—most importantly—continuing our hands-on training with the wonderful Ellie & Dave, the previous owners of Forget-Me-Not Media.
They built this business over the years with an incredible reputation and we couldn't be more grateful that they're taking the time to teach us the ins and outs of this unique business and help us make this transition the best it can be.
There is A LOT to learn when you're working with equipment like this! 📼🎞️🎥�Some of these machines have been preserving memories for decades—and now we're learning how to keep them working for your memories.

Some exciting news we’ve been looking forward to sharing…
Forget-Me-Not Media has new owners! 🎉
We are incredibly excited to introduce ourselves as the new owners of this special little business and to begin the next chapter of its story.
First and foremost, we want to recognize Ellie and Dave, the phenomenal people who built Forget-Me-Not Media into what it is today. They have created something truly special — a business with a 5-star reputation, wonderful customers, and a thriving word-of-mouth following built on trust and quality.
We feel incredibly fortunate to be carrying on what they started.
Their mission has always been about more than transferring VHS tapes, scanning photographs, or digitizing old recordings. It’s about preserving memories — the voices, faces, stories, milestones, and moments that become more precious with time.
That mission means a lot to us, and we are committed to continuing it for Alaskan families, individuals, and businesses. ❤️
Right now, we’re behind the scenes learning the equipment, processes, and all the little details that make Forget-Me-Not Media special. We’re taking the time to learn from Ellie and Dave and make sure we can provide the same level of care and quality that their customers have come to expect.
Our goal is simple:
Honor what has already been built.
Preserve what matters.
And help even more Alaskans save their memories for generations to come.

After 14 years of helping Alaskans preserve their personal and family memories we have sold our business. Now that our two daughters are grown and our golden retriever Piper (who many of you met when you brought orders to the house) has passed on, we decided that it was a good time to retire and move on to new endeavors. Since opening our doors in 2012 as Home Video Studio Alaska, Forget-Me-Not Media has helped many organizations and thousands of people move their analog media into the digital future. We are privileged that you have trusted us with your most cherished memories over the years; this has made the job enjoyable and gratifying.

When putting Forget-Me-Not up for sale, we determined that we didn’t want to sell it to just anyone. When Brooke and Rory Devon contacted us and expressed interest and we met them, we knew they were the perfect people for the job. Brooke’s experience as a professional photographer and Rory’s capacity as a network engineer gives them both the technical and artistic experience necessary to help their fellow Alaskans digitize their media. That, with their youthful energy and immediately likable personalities, makes them the ideal people to shepherd Forget-Me-Not Media into the future.

We have made ourselves available to them should they need any advice or technical help during the transition to ensure that the company continues to deliver the same 5-star service that it always has.

You, our customers, made running the business a profoundly meaningful experience. For that, we will always be thankful.

Dear Client,

For the past 14 years, it has been one of the greatest privileges of our lives to help preserve your precious memories from all over Alaska and beyond. The relationships we have built with our customers and colleagues have been deeply meaningful, and we are profoundly grateful for the trust you have placed in us over the years.

We are writing this to share that we have decided to put our business up for sale, so we can retire. This has not been an easy decision, but it is the right time to bring this chapter of our professional lives to a close.

We sincerely hope to find an equally enthusiastic and conscientious buyer to whom we can pass on our expertise. We will strive to give all the training and support needed to whomever takes the reins of Forget-Me-Not Media so that they can provide the same high-quality service that has characterized our small enterprise since its inception as part of the National franchise Home Video Studio in 2012.

We are thankful that you allowed us to be part of your journey. Your kindness and appreciation for our hard work have made these past years truly rewarding.
