Everybody wants to be a DJ until they realize what this s**t actually takes.

It ain’t just standing behind a controller, throwing your hands up, taking pictures with bottles and posting clips like life is one big party.

Try mastering your craft while balancing your home life, your social media life, your mental health, your money, your relationships, your reputation and still showing up every weekend like everything is good.

And being an OPEN FORMAT DJ? Different animal.

You don’t get to hide behind one genre. One night I might have to make country people dance, the next night I’m in a club playing hip-hop, EDM and Top 40, then Latin, throwbacks, rock, whatever the room calls for. You gotta know MUSIC, not just your favorite playlist.

I grind different because I’ve had to.

I know I’m not everybody’s cup of tea. I’m opinionated. I’m direct. I don’t always play the political game and I damn sure ain’t always invited into the “cool kids club.”

So sometimes I don’t get the easy booking.
Sometimes I gotta go find mine.

People ask why I’ll DJ everywhere from Juneau all the way up to Kotzebue.

Because I LOVE this s**t.

I’d rather travel, meet new crowds, experience different communities and become a better DJ than sit in one town fighting ten other DJs over the same three venues hoping somebody gives me a spotlight.

Traveling made me sharper.
Different crowds made me more versatile.
Getting uncomfortable made me better.

Every room teaches me something.

I’m still learning.
Still building.
Still getting better.
Still proving myself every damn weekend.

This s**t ain’t for the weak.

But I wouldn’t trade it.

Friday 8/28
Friday night is for the homies. No real agenda, no DJ booth, no schedule. I’m hanging out with whoever wants to hang out, grab a drink, catch up, talk s**t, laugh, whatever. If you’re in Homer and wanna link up, hit me.

Saturday 8/29
Catch me at the Salty Dawg Saloon. It’s been a minute, but I’m back. If you were there the last time I played the Dawg, you already know we’re going everywhere musically. Come have a drink, request something crazy and let’s have a night.

Sunday 8/30
This one is special. I’ve got a private wedding that’s been over a year in the making, and I’m ready to party rock with two families and their friends coming together for one hell of a celebration.

But I’m not done after the wedding...

Later that night, I’m heading back out around Homer for JUKEBOX TAKEOVER WITH BLAQUE. If your bar has a TouchTunes jukebox, I might be pulling up and taking over the soundtrack. 😂

This is my last night in Homer until the end of September, so come catch me outside while I’m in town.
