Part of turning down the emotional temperature today means…

We need to focus on coming together as a community instead of furthering the divide.

News agencies have their finger on the emotional temperature of society.

Stop talking in ABSOLUTE and RADICAL RHETORIC against each other. Stop use words like ALWAYS or NEVER. Stop insulting each other.

If you have nothing nice to say. Don’say it. Wait til you have found a respectful way to say it.

News organizations need to report the NEWS in a FACTUAL manner. They need to stop MIXING in their OPINIONs with the news.

They need to make it obvious and apparant that it’s an opinion piece.

Your average American doesn’t know the difference between news anchor reporting FACTS and a political pundit reporting the news with their opinion.

I’ve been watching the entire hearing and I noticed our FBI Director wearing what looks like, pook khan.

Open info says he is of Hindu faith. They share similar wrist tying ceremonies to Theravada Buddhists.

He got blessed before his hearing. I think thats the coolest thing!

How did we get here? How did the political climate become so toxic we could barely breathe?

Using language that ostracizes, labels, and dehumanizes people who don’t agree with you.

Ceasefire vs. True Peace: Why Thailand and Cambodia Need More Than a Pause

A ceasefire is a step, but only a lasting peace deal can end the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia. A ceasefire stops the fighting, but it leaves tensions simmering, with both sides still at odds. Without a full peace agreement, the risk of renewed conflict looms large.

The human toll is heartbreaking. Families are displaced, living in makeshift tents, surviving on rations, and separated from loved ones. Friends and business partners who once thrived together are now divided. This isn’t just a regional issue—it affects the world, including us in the U.S.

Thailand exported $55 billion in goods to the U.S. in 2024, making up 18.3% of its exports and 10.4% of its GDP. Cambodia sent $9 billion in goods in 2023, with $5.22 billion already traded by May 2025. From electronics to clothing, these nations are key partners, and their stability matters to our economy.

Secretary Marco Rubio recently highlighted President Trump’s role in securing a ceasefire, but a temporary pause isn’t enough. A true peace deal would rebuild relationships, restore lives, and strengthen global ties.

Update:
It’s important that we don’t let our feelings exacerbate the issue. Michael has received lots of criticism for his efforts there. But if his heart is in the right place to end the killing; and he is operating in a neutral space. Who are we to criticize?

He is literally on the ground bringing more light to the issue.

Let’s not make quick judgement. Michael B Alfaro is going to the Thai side to speak with officials. We’ll see how that goes! Let’s all watch hope and pray things end soon.

At the border of Thailand and Cambodia, Michael Alfaro has been vocal about supporting Cambodians and challenging Thai policies. His stance has stirred strong reactions online — including on my own TikTok when I reposted a clip of his video.

But beyond the back-and-forth, we have to ask: who are the true victims here?

It’s not just about one side or the other. The people paying the price are the ones displaced on both sides of the border — families who lose their homes, workers cut off from opportunity, and communities divided by politics and history.

While voices like Alfaro’s amplify awareness, the deeper reality is that ordinary people are caught in the middle. They face uncertainty, instability, and trauma that often gets overlooked in the noise of debate.

At the end of the day, it’s not about choosing sides — it’s about recognizing humanity on both sides.

37 year old Chue Yang convicted of murdering Nancy Xiong.

(Anchorage, AK) On Jan. 30, 2025, an Anchorage jury delivered a powerful message of accountability, returning a verdict of guilty for Murder in the Second Degree for 37-year-old Chue Yang.

The conviction stems from the November 2019 shooting death of his wife, Nancy Xiong in the couple’s home on Klevin Street in Anchorage. At trial, evidence was presented that Yang shot Xiong in the head, while she was lying in bed. Yang had been drinking before the homicide.
