We've got a big project underway to improve the signal quality of Gold Rush Radio! We'll have a team of climbers working on our tower beginning at 10am today. (10/7) During this scheduled maintenance, we'll have to power down our AM transmitter. 590AM will be off-the-air beginning at 10 today and lasting through most of the day. During this period, you can still listen live via our FM signal at 96.7 FM in Anchorage, and online at alaskagoldrushradio.com/listen We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

KHAR-AM is now “Alaska’s Gold Rush Radio,” playing a variety of Pop, Soft AC, R&B, and Easy Listening from the 60's 70's and 80's.

Market Manager Nikki Hilton expressed her excitement about the new format, stating, “We are excited to bring this format to Anchorage, it brings back memories for all of us here at KHAR and will connect with those listeners who want a feel-good, safe listening experience.”
