She softly asked, "Have you eaten yet?" It was the same question she had asked five minutes earlier. Instead of correcting her, I smiled and answered, "Yes, Mom. And thank you for always worrying about me."
Dementia may erase names, dates, and familiar faces, but it cannot erase a mother's love. Even when she no longer remembers every chapter of our story, her heart still remembers how to care.
Every day is a lesson in patience, gratitude, and unconditional love. I don't know how many more moments like this we'll have, but I promise to treasure every single one.
