Rain remains for the gulf coast region, with the heaviest rain across the state impacting Southeast.

While some dry breaks are possible this morning, the rainfall will increase in intensity tonight and into Friday, where 4 to 6 inches of rain could fall within the flood watch through Saturday. Be prepared for possible flooding due to excessive rain and rainfall runoff. Also keep in mind heavy rainfall events like this, drenching an area that has already seen heavy rain could deal with the potential for landslides. It's always important to remember that in times of heavy rain and gusty winds.

Are you feeling the "chill" in the air this morning? Many locations across the state are upwards of 10 degrees cooler than this time yesterday morning!

This comes as an area of low pressure continues to slowly move through the Gulf of Alaska, with northerly winds on the back side of the low funneling in cooler conditions. This low has also been responsible for bringing Anchorage its wettest 3 day stretch of weather all year long.
