Today we are celebrating Tom Steigleman who has been on staff at Christian Broadcasting for 30 years! Tom started in 1995 as a Control Room Operator, he became Program Director in 1998, and then General Manager in 2002.
Since 1995, Tom has helped Christian Broadcasting grow from one FM station and two translators (which are low power stations), to Five FM stations, One AM station, Six translators, and One Television station, all while keeping Christian Broadcasting debt free!

Burn permits in the Mat-Su, Kenai-Kodiak, and Copper River Prevention Areas are suspended beginning Saturday, June 21, because of an increase in fire activity in Interior Alaska and limited fire resources from across the state to respond to escaped fires. The suspension will remain in place until fire activity is reduced, and resources become more readily available. With multiple fires across the Alaskan landscape, fire managers from across the state are prioritizing fires and shifting resources from one location to another across the state to provide the most rapid response to new and existing fires. Fire resources stationed in the Kenai, Mat-Su and Copper River response areas have been mobilized to the Interior of Alaska to assist with new initial attack fires and rapid rates of spread brought on by unseasonably warm temperatures, receptive fuels and an abundance of lightning associated with our current weather pattern. Burning of debris piles, lawns, or utilizing a burn barrel is prohibited, as well as any fires that require a burn permit.
