Lot's of action at the Demolition Derby this year!

Hey friends and , I got to spend an evening at the OEA for the Demolition Derby. I've been coming to the fair my entire life but this was my first time going to this event.

So much fun! Makes me want to find an old car and enter next year!!!🤣

Of course it would need to be painted Life In Sussex green!!!🤣

Hey friends and , the Outdoor Entertainment Area was shaking from the truck pulls this week!

The stands were packed, the trucks were loud, and the dirt was flying. I've been coming to these events since I was a kid and the truck and tractor pulls never disappoint.

Go behind-the-scenes of the Queen of the Fair!👸

Hey friends and , I had the privilege to be invited to the Monday night pre-fair rehearsal where I spoke with Lois Kinney to learn a little history about the Queen of the Fair competition.

I also had the pleasure to speak with Sophie Schaeffner to learn about her experiences as the 2025 Queen.

Hey friends and , have you ever tried carving wood with a chainsaw???

From across the fairgrounds I kept hearing this humming noise and I couldn't tell where it was coming from. I started walking around and WOW, what a surprise!

These guys were carving logs with small chainsaws like they were sculpting in clay. It was a real experience to watch. The man glitter was flying everywhere and that smell of 2 cycle... that just added to the experience!🤣

In this video I shared just a few of their beautiful creations on display at the fair.
