Music Lovers of all ages and persuasions,
ONCE UPON A CASSETTE Volume 1️⃣4️⃣, better known as Stony Browder Jr.’s Unfinished Wizness, is now available on your favorite DSP.
Yes, you already know that I am a hoarder extraordinaire, but even so - this collection will shock you! And bemuse you! And amuse you! And enlighten you!
These rare recordings, some dating back to 1967, were all found on cassettes that I am so glad I never threw away.
On Volume 14, we can hear Stony Browder Jr. in his bedroom in the Bronx, New York, creating magic, when he was a teenager! Any true fan of Dr. Buzzard’s Original Savannah Band will appreciate listening to the birth of melodies that went on to become classic tunes.
On some tracks you can hear his younger brother (me), helping with background vocals and bass guitar accompaniment. On other tracks, you can hear a very young Cory Daye singing her heart out.
This is a tribute to my brother, without whom I would never have entered the frightful kingdom known as MUSIC BUSINESS.
I hope you enjoy this collection as much as I enjoyed putting it together. And by the way, this is just the beginning. I have many more cassettes that are labelled Stony Browder Jr., 1790 Bruckner Blvd., Bronx, New York. Stay tuned!
