DID YOU KNOW…? all chicken eggs are 1 of 2 colors. Blue or White.
yep only 2.
But how are there so many colors? well there is a sort of “ink get” that coats the outside of the white or blue shell giving a wide variety of “tint” to white or blue eggs.
Here on the farm we get to enjoy so many colors since i am a sucker for the egg color rainbow!

Our sweet “Bucky” Aka (Buck Wild, from ice age Dawn of the dinosaurs) is looking for his herd to grow into his position of herdsire.
He has some great gentics in his background & would make a good show Goat & herdsire. His sire Velososaraptor has made sich an Impact at Patchwork Acres Farm with lots off daughters retained. I expect Bucky to produce somee great kids too!

I wouldn’t typically sell this young but he is the only kid on the farm & needs some 4 legged friend.

Homesteading is Hard! Add in my small herd of “2 legged Kids” and it can be down right overwhelming!

About once a year give or take a bit we have a “throw in the towel day”.

Yesterday was our 2025 “throw in the towel day.”

A dear friend during our small farm storm reminded me that “Farming ain’t for the faint of heart.”
yesterday my heart was growing faint.

As I set down to do my devotional last night after boxing up the second beautiful baby goat to be buried tomorrow…as I allowed God to draw near tears rolled down my face. & honestly i could have smacked myself! …. why do I over and over again walk on the outter edge of his presence and try to handle the storm on my own!?

please pray for mama “Bud” whose milk seems to not becoming in still we really want enough to cover the needs of our last alive baby! His mamas milk is the best thing for him! ❤️🐐

This morning my heart is gaining strenth!
we are relieved for the sweet babies we lost who are no longer suffering while striving to live.
& basking in the small joys of our little life on the farm.
