Nov. 4 election results:
Anita - 3 council seats up for election - winners were Eyon Steffensen, John Knutson and Deanna Andrews
Wiota - Mayor was won by Bryon Armstrong and council seat winners were Jenna Grossman and Charles Bechtold
Massena - No one was running for mayor, though 55 write-ins were received; Council seat winners are Jackson Bissell and Doug Venteicher
Cumberland - Mayor winner is Rachel McCann and council winners are Randall Anderson, Jr., Matthew Dolch and Tatiana Thielen. Dori Borras won to fill the vacancy.
School Board - three seats were up for the three candidates running. Cara Murphy retained her at-large seat, Adam Akers won the North District seat and Mallory Armstrong won the South District

Produce in the Park's Harvest Market will be held on Nov. 24 from 3-6 p.m. at the Cass County Community Center
The Anita Food Pantry will be hosting a food drive on Nov. 15. Leave your donations in your driveway by noon on Nov. 15 and they will be picked up. They need canned food and n on-perishable items
Cass Health will be holding a CNA class in Atlatnic. The class is free for Cass County residents, including state testing fees. Space is limited so register by visiting casshealth.org/cna or call 712-250-8053
Massena will be holding a lighted Christmas parade on Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. Registration is at 5:15

CAM Junior/Senior High School will be hosting their annual Veterans Day program at the high school gymnasium in Anita on Tues., Nov. 11 at 9:30 a.m.
The Anita American Legion will be hosting their annual Veterans Day meal and program at the Legion Hall in Anita on Tues., Nov. 11. Everyone can gather at 6 p.m. and the meal will be served at 6:30 p.m. followed by the flag dedication ceremony

The CAM Elementary Backpack Program will be hosting a food drive on Thurs., Oct. 23. Bring your item to parent-teacher conferences - there will be a table there to drop them off. Items needed are individual mac & cheese, individual applesauce, granola bars/breakfast bars, individual packets of rice, juice boxes, chicken packets, Dinty Moore stews & soup, pudding/Jell-O cups, individual cereal, vegetable cups, peanut butter, individual snack crackers/snacks, fruit cups, oatmeal packets, tuna packets, individual spaghetti and/or meatballs, ramen noodle cups and fruit snacks. Monetary donations are also welcome!
