Onslaught and Infirmary

Onslaught was absolutely amazing. I dont understand any of the complaints. It was exactly what I was wanting from it but better. Its like Universal Soldier and Terminator got tossed in a blender with a slasher and drenched with an synth soundtrack. It glorious and I loved it.

Infirmary was boring and unoriginal.
Half found footage half not but all forgettable. Again, I commend anyone that makes a film but that doesn't mean it's good and its ok for it to be bad, but this one was not enjoyable for me.

31 Days of Halloween 5&6.
Hold the Fort and Teenage S*x and Death at Camp Miasma.
Hold the Fort was slightly entertaining but mostly fails. It had the vibe of a horror/ comedy cult classic but couldn't stick the landing. One character was alot of fun but thats about it. I applaud using some practical effects but sometimes they looked terrible. The AI or CGI effects were terrible and not in a good way. Feel free to put on in the background for Halloween fun but dont worry about missing anything special.
Now, Camp Miasma....
I'm still processing this one. A stellar film but I'm not sure I liked it? Gillian Anderson was superb and honestly a wonderful choice for her to make. It is truly unique with it's extreme brutality and gore but also beautiful in its quiet moments. "Flesh and fluids" as Gillian says in the film. I enjoyed that tasteful way the sexual moments were done. I mean they weren't just tossing dicks and t**s around like an HBO series. It's a ride that I think people should take but I guarantee some will love and some will just not be able to connect with it and that's OK. A good movie doesn't mean everyone will like it.
Ill tell you this, it's been on my mind non stop since I watched it. I think I'll end up liking it the more my brains gnaws on all its blood and subtext.
