Clay Lamb launched his chimney business in 1981 and has seen it all — handwritten estimates, stainless steel liners, advanced tech, and stricter safety standards.

A longtime NCSG member, Clay credits the Guild for friendships, learning, and helping him grow his business. Now retired, he mentors the next generation through MIX Groups Online, passing on the knowledge that made him successful.

We're just one month away from opening registration for the 2026 NCSG Convention & Trade Show on February 24-28 in Kansas City, MO.

Two of your NCSG at-Large directors, Lee Roff and Gary Smalling, were in Texas last week at InterNACHI talking about all things chimneys, fireplaces, and VR training with home inspectors from across the country. 🏠

Home inspectors are some of the best connections a chimney professional can have. They’re often the first to notice when something’s not quite right. Building relationships with local home inspectors is also a great way to grow your professional network and bring in more referrals and business.
