A major milestone for health care in Ann Arbor 🏥

The D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion is now open, marking the system’s largest increase in adult inpatient capacity in 40 years.

The 690,000-square-foot, 12-story hospital adds 264 private patient rooms, 20 operating rooms, advanced imaging including an intraoperative MRI, and expanded specialty services — all designed around a human-centered care model.

Designed by and built by , the pavilion also prioritizes sustainability and is on track for LEED Platinum certification.

The $6.4 billion (CDN) Gordie Howe International Bridge reached a major milestone with the completion of its bridge deck, paving the way for its grand opening in fall 2025! Connecting Detroit, Michigan, and Windsor, Canada, this project will enhance trade, commuter travel, and tourism between the two nations.

• Massive Engineering Feat: Two 722-ft towers, 216 stay cables, and a 0.53-mile span across the Detroit River.

• Sustainability & Safety: Stormwater drainage, environmental protections, and industry-leading safety measures throughout construction.
