Kyle E. Miller's "The Idiot’s Garden" is a poetic postapocalyptic novel in which few humans exist, but the world flourishes. We spoke to the Ypsilanti-based author about his book, which takes place in a time when the oceans have boiled, whales consume power lines, and living things possess abilities beyond our present-day world.

Miller will discuss and read from "The Idiot's Garden" at Ann Arbor District Library's Downtown location on Friday, May 29, at 6 pm.

OUT Ensemble's debut album celebrates winter, spring, summer, and fall with LGBTQ+ composers. The Tree Town wind quintet will perform works from "Seasons of Change" at a free concert at the Ann Arbor District Library's Downtown location at 6 pm on May 22. We spoke to clarinetist and co-founder Sophie Bracken about the group's new record.
