An evening with Ronan Farrow and Ken Auletta, "The Weinstein Effect: Breaking the Stories That Spurred a Movement"
Join Wallace House Presents for an Evening with The New Yorker's Ronan Farrow, 2018 Livingston Award winner, and Ken Auletta, Livingston Awards national judge, as they discuss their individual attempts to get the truth about Harvey Weinstein and how reporters ultimately stood together in confronting one of the biggest stories in recent memory. FREE and OPEN to public, first come first serve seating basis.

Yoni Ki Baat (YKB) presents MASTERPIECE. YKB is a social justice organization for Women of Color who seek to educate the campus about the experiences of self-identified Women of Color. The show will be composed of two parts: a late-night, black tie art exhibition in addition to a traditional monologue show. Their show aims to provide a platform for Women of Color to fight against oppression and to take control of the narrative from which they have been silenced. The show is written, produced, and performed entirely by Women of Color at UMich and showcases narratives surrounding topics such as mental health, sexuality, assault and more. The monologue show will be held 7-9 pm on Friday, March 22nd, following with a black tie art exhibition at 10PM. Shatter: A Girl Up Gala. Girl Up is a United Nations Campaign that was launched in 2010 to ensure that girls in developing countries are educated, healthy, safe, counted, and positioned to be the next generation of leaders. Through fundraising and advocacy, Girl Up Michigan aims to empower others to get involved and to teach that girls around the world they matter. There will be six prominent industry professionals who will be sharing the journeys that got them to where they are today. There will be speakers from tech, medical, entrepreneurship, business, and public policy fields! Listen to them recount their stories and learn how to land your dream job, while also getting a chance to see two stunning performance groups from the University of Michigan (IMPACT and The Sirens). Lastly, there will be an opportunity to win several gift cards from Downtown Ann Arbor businesses such as Comet Coffee, MDen, and Verbena through a silent auction!
Tickets are $15 each for 1, $14 each for 2, and $13 each for 3+. Included in the ticket price is an Italian-style Dinner. Doors open and Dinner starts at 6 PM.
