Nothing like being so excited to start a project only to find out you ordered the wrong material!!

I knew as soon as I opened the package it wasn’t cotton. The prints are so cute though!!

Drop me some ideas in the comments of what I could make with this fabric! This is polyester, so nothing that involves heat 😅

Well, we’ve already hit our first quilt plot twist.

Remember that pretty layer cake I was so excited about? It arrived, I opened it up, and realized it was polyester. 😵‍💫

Could I have made it work? Probably. But since I’m putting this much time into my fall/Halloween rag quilt, I decided I’d rather wait and use 100% cotton like I originally planned.

So, new fabric is officially on the way!
Now we wait for the replacement fabric, and THEN we can finally get this quilt going!

Follow along because at this point, I’m emotionally invested.

Should I keep this fabric and make something else?! Maybe some potholders, or a ghost garland??

Day 1 of sharing my Amazon finds until Facebook finds my people 😂🤎

It may still be ridiculously hot outside, but mentally? I’ve moved on to fall. 🍂☕️

Cozy mornings. Candles burning. A warm cup of coffee. And apparently… tiny wooden trees holding my coasters. 😂🌳

These were way too cute not to share, and I love that they’re actually pretty enough to leave sitting out on the coffee table.

Early morning will always be my favorite. I wasn’t always a morning person. Being in your 40s (and probably perimenopause) changes so many things, it’s wild. I’m almost 42, and since turning 40, I’m awake between 4:30 and 5:30 everyday. At first I fought it, but eventually embraced it, and now look forward to it. The house is quiet and cozy. It’s just me, my coffee, and my thoughts. Anyone else an early riser?
