Dren’s ongoing horror/sci-fi anthology series is now open for submissions!
We’re looking for completed short comics for upcoming issues - either 4, 8, or 12 pages in length.
Submissions should tell a strong horror/sci-fi story with a clear beginning, middle, and end. We’re especially interested in stories with a campy, B-movie flavor. Think The Twilight Zone, Tales from the Crypt, midnight movies, strange creatures, doomed experiments, sinister twists, and stories that leave readers grinning, gasping, or both.
Please note that Dren is unable to pair writers with artists, so submissions must be completed comics. Previously published material is welcome, as long as you have the rights to republish it.
Creators retain all rights to their work. Dren is only seeking the right to publish accepted stories in the anthology issue and in any future trade collection that includes that issue.
All accepted creators will be paid per story. See the full posting for additional details.
We can’t wait to see what weird, creepy, cosmic, blood-soaked, or wonderfully bizarre stories you’ve been cooking up.
Payment
All accepted stories will be paid at the following flat rates:
4-page story: $125
8-page story: $250
12-page story: $375
Payment is made per accepted story, not per individual creator, and is based on the final page count.

Submissions should include the completed comic as an attachment or accessible download link, along with the creator names and contact information.
At this time, we are only looking for completed comics. Please do not submit scripts by themselves, standalone artwork, character designs, pitches, or story ideas.
Reminder: Dren is unable to pair writers with artists, so all submissions must be finished comics with both story and art completed.
