Throwback to the Tulsa Fairgrounds, where I spent what feels like half my childhood showing hunter/jumpers and surviving on horse show donuts and pure adrenaline.

Seeing this video reminded me of all those brutal early wake-up calls for the Tulsa Charity Horse Show. The only time you could get into the arena was 4:00 AM… yes, FOUR. IN. THE. MORNING.

I honestly still can’t believe my parents willingly took us to that madness. Looking back, I’m not sure if it was dedication, love, or temporary insanity—but I’m grateful for every sleepless, horse-scented memory.

From the moment I drove up to St Mary’s Church Road, I was absolutely in love. This old house feels like stepping back in time in the most magical way. From the old cast iron sink to the amazing staircases, every corner is filled with historic charm and character you just can’t recreate.

I have to say, my favorite detail is the sink mounted on that old wooden wall — it’s so simple, yet it tells a story all on its own.

You never know what surprises come with showing homes! Check out the dog in the back seat—he decided to run away from home and sneak into my car like it was his personal taxi. I ended up giving him a full tour of the farm, including several buildings, before finally taking him back home. Trying to explain THAT to the buyers? Let’s just say my storytelling skills got a serious workout! Who else has had unexpected “guests” during showings? 🐶🚗😂

The USDA has officially designated 9 Maryland counties as Primary Natural Disaster Areas due to a severe drought impacting the region. These counties experienced drought intensity levels ranging from severe to extreme for eight or more weeks during the growing season. Notably, Prince George’s and Charles Counties are included in this designation and are now eligible for federal assistance.
