About FNN - The Friday Night Network

FNN was conceptually born in 2011 as a part of Jacobs Broadcast Group, Inc., a company generally geared around the ownership and operation of commercial radio stations in East Central Alabama. The idea behind FNN was to create a new, “Non-Traditional” revenue stream around video streaming high school football.

The network streamed it’s first game on September 14th, 2011 from Weaver High School as the Bearcats played host to the White Plains Wildcats in a game they won 20-14. Just 91 people watched on mostly desktop computers at the time.

Since those humble beginnings in 2011, FNN has shed it’s “second son” clothes from the Jacobs Broadcast Group, Inc. radio days and become the “out-front” video sports production arm of Jacobs Media Services, LLC (formed in February, 2013)

FNN routinely live streams high school football, basketball, baseball and girls softball on a regional basis in East Central Alabama. It is not uncommon for FNN to stream in excess of one hundred events annually.
